One of the best settings for dining anywhere in the GTA, The Toronto Hunt is the ideal spot for date night on a warm July evening, or gathering with friends to escape the cold on a blustery February weekend.

Open year-round, the clubhouse is historic and comfortable. Members enjoy the social and dining options provided at the club. With formal and casual dining, Toronto Hunt offers splendid service and elegant cuisine, making it one of the most intriguing spots for dining in the city.

Classic, but with modern amenities

With its roots based on a rebuild in 1911, following a fire that destroyed the original clubhouse on the site, the building has been updated while continuing its historic connection to the club’s early years. Additions were made to the clubhouse following World War I, and tweaks have occurred ever since, with significant alterations occurring in 2003.

Other Activities

Bridge:
The Toronto Hunt offers a variety of bridge activities to all members throughout the year. Duplicate Bridge is played every Wednesday and an informal Gentlemen’s Bridge takes place every Thursday afternoon, year round. Professional instruction such as Supervised Bridge is also available from time to time on a fee for service basis.

Mahjong:
A new social activity has been embraced at The Toronto Hunt recently that is taking shape. The popular game of Mahjong is a tile game that is played with multiple people. It is easy and fun to learn strategies of how to beat your opponents. It originated in China and has become very popular in Canada. Our members play weekly with an instructor who is eager to teach beginners.

Wine Society:
Membership in The Toronto Hunt Wine Society provides an opportunity for members to purchase unique wines from around the world. These wines are exclusively available to our Society Members, and are not available at retail outlets. Outstanding wine events are held on a regular basis with Wine Makers, Principal Directors or Winery Owners from the most prestigious wineries around the globe. Our very own Sommelier, Marcel Bregstein leads the exclusive wine program and events at The Toronto Hunt.

Speaker Series:
The House Committee organizes a robust Speaker Series with a variety of different topics and interests to showcase speakers that are current and relevant to the likes of our members. Enjoy learning about trends, traditions, experts and topics while dining among fellow members and guests.

Celebrations:
What would a private club be without hosting special occasions for our members. Celebrate at the Toronto Hunt and create memories and traditions with your family and friends. Private rooms and special menus are available to members and their guests to experience excellent service with the perfect cuisine.
